Trail Description

Soo Valley cross country mountain bike route, just north of Whistler. This is a classic loop ride that starts with about 18 km. at the north Soo Valley turn off, just before the tracks.
You then climb a FSR for about 3 km. and you will come to an engineered wetlands.
There is a fork to the left that skirts the the marsh and then climbs through some rough ditches and general gnarly terrain before you get to cruise in the middle ring along the lush river valley. Early in the morning you may see a moose.
After about 10 km. you hit the junction that climbs steeply for 2.5 km up into the Cougar Mountain area.
This is a steep bugger so get in a good pace and stay loose. A strong time to the top is around 11 minutes.
Finally you descend to the Hwy just north of Emerald and if you are the strong type hammer right into Section 102, Big Kahuna and home on White Knuckles.
