Trail Description
Danimal is the artery of joy that runs from the Base of Cardiac Hill on Alta Lake Road and deposits you in various locations along the West Side.
Built by local trail beast, Dan Swanstrom it typifies the type of rugged and challenging terrain that infests this area.
Rocks and challenging root sections pock mark the trail which has 4 sections. It crossses most trails as well as connects to Lower Sproat, Industrial Disease, Beaver Pass and Whip Me Snip Me.
The WORCA Trail gnomes have re-built the final section down from the Stonebridge Road. It is incredible and flowy and we just ask that nobody shuttle this or we kill you!
No guff.
Directions
Go in either direction but the trail is best accessed off of stonebridge road as well as lower sproat trail.
Look for the big Tombstones with the trail name on them.
Features
Lots of rock and root.
Not for whiny little non-technical types who hate flow and challenge.
It is for the ballsy xc rider and free-rider folks.
Lower section at the North end is some of the sweetest stuff on gods green earth.

Danimal
This trail should be considered as a advance cross country not a advance free ride, as there is nothing gnarly other then the fact that ups and downs make you feel as though your always heading the wrong direction on the trail.. I ride a cove std with a totem on the front, and this bike was not capable of flowing the trail, a 4 inch cross country bike would be ideal for the never ending ups and downs.
