Trail Description
Bart’s Dark Trail was built on an old Whistler logging road. Original corduroy sections are still being used. It cuts a broad swath from the top of the West Side Road hill to the Rainbow Trailhead and it’s Rainbow/Flank access. It’s great two-way connector. The north end of Rebob is across Alta Lake Road at the top-end completing a loop. Bart’s dissects river Runs Through It so you can choose to do one end of River or another. And it keeps the doggies off the Alta Lake Road. The lower third of Bart’s has an interesting blue level single-track option beginning at the River entrance at Rainbow and paralleling Bart’s and Twenty-one Mile Creek north. It rejoins Barts’ at the base of the hill.
Directions
Head to the top of the big hill 500 m. past the Valley Trail off ramp up to Rainbow Drive.
Look for the post and give er.
Features
Nothing major but look out for the kicker in front of the big log.

Yeah - I'm a big fan of this
Yeah - I'm a big fan of this trail. The super-rocky section not long after the entrance is tech and there are lots of challenging lines down it.
