PEMBERTON VALLEY SLOW FOOD CYCLE SUNDAY

Begins: 08/16/2009 @ 09:00am
Finishes: 08/16/2009 @ 05:00pm

The Slow Food Cycle Sunday Society is an organization devoted to the promotion of local food, farming and farmland. The flagship event is Slow Food Cycle Sunday, to be held this year on August 16, 2009: an annual free community bike ride up and down the Pemberton Meadows Road, a farming hotbed less than 30 miles from Whistler. In 2007 the Society produced the first edition of the Pemberton Almanac, a guide to living, eating and growing in the Pemberton area, with the second edition due out in 2009. Anything Grows has been made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Whistler.

Slow Food Cycle Sunday is supported by local government, The Pemberton Valley Supermarket, the Pemberton Farmer’s Institute and by local growers, eaters and appreciators…
